The Whittier Institute for Diabetes, offers four courses in diabetes training for healthcare professionals.

Basics of Diabetes

The Basics of Diabetes Care and Management is a one-day overview of diabetes, designed for individuals who want to understand the critical components of diabetes care. This course is offered;

 Comprehensive Diabetes Educator

The Comprehensive Diabetes Educator Training program prepares health care professionals for work as clinical diabetes experts.

DeMystifying the Diabetic Diet

This course is designed to clarify the common confusion on nutrition intervention and make your job as a time-crunched healthcare professional easier – and more rewarding! In an interactive session, we will review case studies, learn about our own “weight loss readiness,” and shift focus from weight to behaviors that affect our eating.

Initating and Intensifying Insulin and Incretins: The Art and Science

The epidemic of diabetes has captured the minds of America but unfortunately diabetes control is far from where it needs to be. This interactive program is designed to teach the healthcare professional the bottom line of insulin management.
